Pumpkin Spiced And Iced Cookies

Pumpkin Spiced and Iced Cookies offer the moistness of pumpkin pie with the
chocolaty sweetness of chocolate chips. Try these for a Halloween party or a
children’s dessert at Thanksgiving. Makes about 5 1/2 dozen cookies.
Ingredients:

  • 2 1/4 cs all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tsps pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 c (2 sticks) butter or margarine, softened
  • 1 c granulated sugar
  • 1 can (15 oz.) LIBBY’S® 100% Pure Pumpkin
  • 2 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 c (12-oz. pkg.) Nestle Toll HouseE® Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels
  • 1 c chopped walnuts (optional)\
  • Vanilla Glaze (recipe follows)

Preheat oven to 375° F. Grease baking sheets. COMBINE flour, pumpkin pie spice, baking powder, baking soda and salt in medium bowl. Beat butter and
granulated sugar in large mixer bowl until creamy. Beat in pumpkin, eggs and
vanilla extract. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in morsels and nuts. Drop by rounded tbsp onto prepared baking sheets.BAKE for 15 to 20 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; remove to wire rack to cool completely. Drizzle or spread with Vanilla Glaze.

For Vanilla Glaze:
Ingredients:

  • 1 c powdered sugar,
  • 1 to 1 1/2 Tbsp milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Combine in small bowl; mix well.
